Job Description
Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Software Engineer to support their manufacturing shop floor. The Software Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day development, support, and troubleshooting of custom and off-the-shelf manufacturing applications. This will include but not be limited to: Machine tool HMI screens, reporting or visualization tools such as manufacturing tracking and priority systems, Manufacturing process data consolidation, and Statistical Process Control tools (SPC).
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 2 or more years of experience in software engineering, in manufacturing operations or similar environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with a programming language such as .Net, Java, or Python.
- Experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server or other relational databases
- Experience with source control tools such as Git
- Self-Starter, works well with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in automation or robotic applications
- PLC/HMI programming and troubleshooting experience (Allen Bradley Studio 5000, Factory Talk)
- Experience with the Ignition by Inductive Automation software platform
- Computer Science or Engineering degree (computer, software, or electrical)
- Experience creating reports and data analysis
