Key Highlights
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, International Relations, Government, Economics, Security Studies, or a related field; advanced degree a plus
- 7+ years of professional experience in writing and editing data- or research-driven content (investigative reporting, think tank / policy research, intelligence analysis, or similar)
- Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar, structure, and style, with a proven ability to simplify complex material without sacrificing accuracy
- Demonstrated experience editing others’ work for clarity, narrative coherence, and tone, including providing constructive feedback to subject-matter experts
- Strong research and fact-checking skills; comfortable working with both quantitative data and qualitative sources (OSINT, court filings, enforcement actions)

- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and operate in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in investigations, national security, intelligence or law enforcement environments — or in think tanks, research institutes, or policy shops producing external-facing analysis
- Experience shaping content for different audiences (public sector vs private sector; technical vs executive; public vs client-only)
- Background working in a remote, globally distributed team across multiple time zones
- Experience measurably improving engagement with published work — readership, lead conversion, or customer action taken on what was published
