Sr Software Engineer

PayPal, Inc. seeks Sr Software Engineer in Austin, TX. This role involves all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from ideation to scoping, design, and implementation. The engineer will lead by example, enhancing design, implementation, quality, and engineering practices within the team. Responsibilities include utilizing programming skills in Java, Groovy, Go, and similar languages to build highly scalable systems, producing well-supported code with unit tests, and developing/maintaining technical documentation. The role also entails code reviews, triaging and solving live issues, participating in scrum team activities, and collaborating with cross-functional groups in a matrix organization. Maintaining and enhancing existing architectural and developer documentation, as well as creating new documentation, is crucial. The engineer will be involved in customer campaigns, assisting internal PayPal teams in onboarding to Pipelines solutions and enhancing the Pipelines SDLC solution to meet evolving needs.
