Key Highlights
- Work to meet customer requirements to support Payloads Engineering definition for Interior Modification programs
- Fully understands the project statement of work including general certification issues to provide engineering definition
- Provide tasks, hours, and flows to develop baseline schedule, support commitment meetings and engage affected groups if required
- Works closely with Design Approval Engineers (DAEs) to show compliance with required regulations
- Work as an engineer on a multi-disciplined team with interaction with suppliers, customers, and/or regulatory agencies as required
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
- 2+ years’ experience in an engineering role
- 2+ years’ experience with commercial aircraft interiors design
- 2+ years’ experience in Model Based Definition (MBD) (using CATIA/Teamcenter (or similar PDM) methods and tools)
- 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1+ years’ experience using IVT (Integration Visualization Tool)
- 1+ years’ experience functioning as a Design Engineer (DE)
- 1+ years’ experience working with aircraft modifications, upgrades, or retrofit projects
- 1+ years’ experience in a role which required strong interpersonal and communication skills
- 1+ years’ experience working in a cross-functional environment and/or business unit team
- Has in-depth understanding of 14 CFR Part 25 regulations
- Aircraft interior commodity experience (Interior commodities are items such as overhead stowage bins, lavatories, galleys, seats, PSU, sidewalls, air grilles, flight deck seats, etc.)
- Ability to travel up to 10% domestic and international
