Job Description
Torch Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Entry/Junior Level Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in C# and WPF, demonstrating extensive experience in building robust and scalable desktop applications. This role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions, with a focus on user interface development and data handling. Experience with utilizing National Instruments APIs to control and interact with test equipment, is highly desirable.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 0+ years of applicable software engineering experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with C# and WPF, particularly in developing desktop applications.
- Demonstrated ability in architectural design with a focus on maintainability and scalability.
- Experience with Entity Framework Core for data access, including designing models, configuring DbContexts, and implementing LINQ-based queries.
- Experience developing modern, interactive web applications using Blazor and the ASP.NET Core ecosystem.
- Experience designing and implementing scalable service-based architectures utilizing gRPC, named pipes, or comparable communication protocols.
- Experience utilizing National Instruments APIs to control and interact with test equipment.
- Experience with version control systems such as Azure DevOps or Git and the Visual Studio IDE.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum.
