Job Description
Bowhead is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Advanced Hypersonic Weapons & Guided Munitions Division (E20) to support software development of Naval gun weapons systems in Dahlgren, VA.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering, scientific or technical discipline and two (2)+ years of experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Must be competent in the development of MATLAB or Python scripts to process large amount of structured data files as well as processing the data files.
- Testing and evaluation experience.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of team members on the project.
- Ability to work independently and interface professionally with other government agencies, contractors, military personnel.
- Ability to define task details, estimates, and schedules using Microsoft Office products (e.g., Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Word.)
- Must have at least an interim Secret security clearance.
- US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Hyper Velocity Weapons preferred.
- Familiarity with research and development projects a plus.
- Experience related to gun weapon systems and/or Army/Navy programs.
