Job Description
We are seeking a Software Engineer or Senior Software Engineer to join our Commercial Lines IT team. At Sentry, we’re more than just insurance—and we can offer you more than just a job. This position can be filled as a Software Engineer or Senior Software Engineer based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. Our ideal candidate will have experience with modern web and enterprise technologies, cloud services, & microservices architectures. This role offers opportunities to work with cutting-edge digital transformation initiatives across our insurance business lines. For this position, Sentry does not offer employment to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Computer Science or related discipline; or equivalent related work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years related work experience.
- Demonstrated aptitude in one or more programming languages and software development concepts.
- Ability to critically evaluate multiple options to solve complex problems.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Values continuous learning and personal development.
- Enjoys working in a team focused and collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree preferred.
- 5 or more years of related work experience preferred.
- Experience with Guidewire, Java and Vue preferred.
