Job Description
Join a team that builds and supports critical insurance technology solutions that power policy processing, agency and producer operations, and third-party vendor integrations. As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and enhance scalable applications, APIs, and integrations while collaborating with business and technical teams to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions. You'll leverage modern technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, REST/SOAP APIs, DB2, JavaScript, React, and Kubernetes to solve complex business challenges, improve operational efficiency, and drive innovation across the insurance platform ecosystem. Strong problem-solving skills, a passion for continuous learning, and experience with Agile development practices are key to success in this role.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 5+ yrs. - reasonable single system / single technology knowledge.
- 5+ years of professional development experience
- Strong working experience developing web applications in Java (preferably versions 11+)
- Strong working experience with DB2 or SQL Server databases
- Software Development Life Cycle experience.
- Ability to thrive and produce results with little or no supervision in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to interact seamlessly at all levels with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies and systems.
- Superior problem solving and analytical skills.
- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in related field or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Atlassian suite experience is a plus (Jira, Bamboo, Confluence)
- Git Hub Enterprise experience is a plus (As code repository as well as managing build and deployment)
