Key Highlights
- Perform supplier capability / feasibility assessment for Boeing Statement of Work across commodities by evaluating manufacturing processes, special processes, testing capabilities, infrastructure, leading to supplier recommendation and onboarding.
- Develop Technical Assessment for commodities by understanding manufacturing process and identifying capability gaps at suppliers based on technical inputs(requirements) and work with suppliers to help bridge the gaps
- Participate in technical audits & requirement consumption reviews to identify and onboard suppliers.
- Monitor supplier’s performance-to-plan to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and provides status back to procurement agent and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Evaluate supplier performance and customer requirements & develop continuous improvement plans.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications

- Participate in technical audits & requirement consumption reviews to identify and onboard suppliers.
- Hands on experience in Aircraft parts manufacturing & its processes like : Machining , Structures, Structural Assemblies, Forging , Casting , Sheet metal Fabrication , Tubes and Ducts assembly , Welding , Non-metallic parts knowledge and managing / qualifying special processes etc… would be preferred.
- Monitor supplier’s performance-to-plan to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and provides status back to procurement agent and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Evaluate supplier performance and customer requirements & develop continuous improvement plans.
- Experience in aviation welding, fabrication of titanium, aluminum, stainless steel and Inconel parts, with knowledge of codes and industry standards including AMS, AWS, ASME etc.
- Hands on experience in destructive and non-destructive testing and metrology (including CMM & Laser Tracker), strong understanding of GD & T will be preferred.
- Experience in NADACP , QPL & QLM processes will be preferred.
- Candidate shall be familiar with the standards defined by the FAA and other regulatory bodies and should have good understanding of certification requirements.
- Support new supplier development through coaching and mentoring. Candidate shall have proven track record managing technical issue resolution, root cause analysis, yield improvement etc.
- Identifies, establishes, and maintains priorities for deliveries of products and services, meeting safety and quality requirements and ensure contractual compliance. Also, analyze data that supports necessary supplier corrective actions and issue resolution.
- Communicates across functions (including procurement team, suppliers, program stakeholders, supplier quality, engineering, BR & T(BTI), manufacturing, site quality, IEs etc) to report status and concerns.
- Engage with the supplier to develop a recovery plan in case of execution delays and unplanned demand requirements.
- Participates with the procurement agent in on-site supplier assessments including rate readiness, capacity assessment, PRA & PMR.
- Compile and analyze supplier performance data. Review key supplier and internal risk indicators to identify potential supplier performance issues and develop mitigation plan.
- Research and identify most probable adverse indicators. Elevate issues for resolution appropriately.
- Identifies needs for training in business and manufacturing practices (e.g., requirements interpretation and clarification, contractual compliance, scheduling tools, technical skills, self-assessment) to supplier personnel for improvement of quality and delivery performance.
- Consolidate data and prepare reports and presentations in support of program management reviews. Present supplier performance improvement recommendations.
- Understanding of Statistical Process Capability, Process automation, Digital manufacturing techniques etc…would be added advantage.
- Experience in leading/ supporting quality & process excellence effort including APQP, Kaizen, Fishbone Analysis, 8D, A3…etc. would be added advantage.
- Understanding / Knowledge of Statistical Analysis, Process automation, IoT / Digital manufacturing techniques, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Systems, Industry 4.0 etc…would be added advantage.
- Create collaborative partnership with suppliers and Supplier Management to develop risk, issue and opportunity plans. Develop supplier recovery plans and line of balance (LOB) to support unplanned demand requirements.
- Strong Oral and Written communication.
