Job Description
PayPal, Inc. seeks Sr Software Engineer in Austin, TX. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing scalable infrastructure and cloud solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The engineer will build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, lead cloud migration projects to AWS, and administer containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Responsibilities also include designing monitoring, logging, and disaster recovery solutions, overseeing security measures, and collaborating with and mentoring technical teams. Partial telecommuting is permitted from within a commutable distance.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related field plus three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- Jenkins administrator developing automated CI/CD Systems (3 years)
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for application scalability and orchestration (3 years)
- Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tools like Terraform, Ansible (3 years)
- Experience working on AWS cloud with strong Linux background (3 years)
- Experience with Python, Go, or Bash (2 years)
- Experience with relational databases, such as Postgres, Oracle (2 years)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
