Principal Software Engineer

The Azure Storage team powers some of the world's largest and most sophisticated cloud storage systems, operating at a scale that spans exabytes today and is rapidly advancing toward zettabyte and yottabyte-scale demands. Our engineering teams work across block storage, object storage, file systems, hardware acceleration, transport performance, and large-scale systems integration to build the foundation that powers Azure services around the globe. As a Principal Software Engineer on Azure Storage, you will help define the technical direction for some of the most complex and business-critical components of Azure Storage. You will drive architectural decisions, lead the development of breakthrough capabilities, and deliver continuous improvements that enhance reliability, scalability, performance, consistency, and debuggability at hyperscale. This role offers the opportunity to work with the latest server technologies and highly distributed systems while partnering across teams to solve challenging engineering problems that directly influence the future of cloud storage.
