Job Description
As a Senior Software Engineer at Walmart, you will lead the delivery of scalable, secure software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams. Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and documentation-based coding practices.
- Strong experience delivering scoped features through iterative development and continuous integration.
- Proficiency in debugging, code review, and automated testing to ensure software quality.
- Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions aligned with technical standards.
- Experience integrating AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance development.
- Effective collaboration skills to communicate complex ideas across cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and mentoring within engineering teams.
- Experience in building optimized ETL pipelines.
- Hands-on experience in Hive/Spark/BigQuery/SQL.
- Experience working with Apache Airflow.
- Good programming knowledge in Python/Scala/Java.
- Experience in problem solving skills and data structures.
- Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
- Option 2: 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year's experience in software engineering or related area.
- Creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
