Key Highlights
- Act as technical lead / design authority for offshore wind turbine towers and interfaces with foundations, including fixed-bottom and floating structures.
- Tailor and optimise project-specific variants, from concept and FEED through detailed design, serial production, and installation support.
- Own technical integrity and design approval of critical calculations, specifications, drawings, and product documentation.
- Define, maintain, and govern product design philosophies, analysis methodologies, and global models in line with international codes and standards (e.g., DNV, IEC, ISO, API, Eurocodes) and internal standards.
- Lead resolution of complex, non-standard technical challenges, including extreme and fatigue load cases, soil–structure interaction, and coupled dynamic behaviour.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Offshore Engineering.
- 8+ years’ experience in offshore wind support structure design within an OEM, contractor, or closely related environment.
- Strong working knowledge of DNV and IEC standards, with hands-on experience applying them to serial product design.
- Expert-level proficiency in global analysis and FEA tools for integrated, coupled analyses.
- Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams in a product- or program-based environment.
- Excellent communication skills across engineering, manufacturing, and commercial stakeholders.
