Key Highlights
- Provide support to a test program under general direction
- Work with and lead a team through test design, integration and test conduct activities in the structural test labs.
- Train early career engineers in engineering best practice and structures testing principles per the Boeing best practices and design guidelines for the Structural Test Capability.
- Gather test requirements, develop test procedures, design and analyze test fixtures, leads in the fabrication and setup of the tests, and leads in the test conduct phase
- Coordinate with the business partner, team members, shop (touch-labor) personnel, and other support personnel
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 5+ years of experience with 3D Design software, such as Siemens NX, SolidWorks and/or CATIA
- 10+ years of experience with structural testing, mechanical testing and/or flight testing
- 5+ years of experience leading a test design team and/or experience as a test conductor/architect
- 5+ years of experience with hydraulic and/or mechanical control systems
- Level 4: 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 9+ years of experience directly supporting flight/lab test operations, or similar environment
- 5+ years of experience in experimental data acquisition, instrumentation, and analysis
- 5+ years of experience with precision test and measurement devices
- 5+ years of Experience with lab hydraulic control and power systems: servos, actuators, load cylinders, manifolds
- Experience with sensors including accelerometers, strain gages, thermocouples, load cells, and LVDT/Temposonic devices
- Master’s degree in an engineering discipline or project management
