Sr Software Engineer

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 5-10 years of IBM i / AS400 development experience.
• Strong experience with: RPG IV, RPGLE, Free-Format RPG, CL Programming, SQLRPGLE, DB2 for iSeries.
• Experience with: IBM Rational Developer for iSeries, Git or Azure DevOps, SQL Services for IBM iSeries, Web Services, API Integration, EDI, FTP/SFTP, Automation, Power Systems, Mimix or High Availability solutions, Robot Scheduler, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps.
• Experience designing and maintaining batch processing, interactive programs, and business applications on IBM iSeries.
• Experience troubleshooting performance issues across applications and DB2 databases.
• Familiarity with source control and deployment management processes.
• Experience gathering requirements directly from business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experienced with building out and maintaining metrics, alarms, and monitoring of services and application stack.
• Excellent communication skills and understand the importance of regular communication to the entire team about business and IT roadmaps.
• Excellent problem solver where the big picture is understood and challenges are recognized before they occur; relevant information from internal and external SME’s is investigated then drive decisions and next steps to get the optimized short term to long term result for the team.
• Successfully delivered roadmap initiatives using either Waterfall or Agile methodology.
