Job Description
BAE Systems in Austin, TX is looking for talented Software professionals to help create the world’s most advanced solutions in areas including Aircraft Protection, Radar Warning and Electronic Attack for defense-related customers. The Countermeasures & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions business is a product-driven group dedicated to the mission, spanning air, land, sea, and space, developing the technology of tomorrow, delivered today. As a player/coach, you will leverage your extensive technical experience by supporting the full lifecycle of a development program while also managing a group of software engineers.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with leadership responsibilities in either a functional and/or technical role
- Must be able to obtain an active Secret clearance
- Ability to lead a medium to large groups
- Demonstrated ability to guide individuals through complicated or difficult situations effectively and professionally
- Experience with software and systems engineering processes, methodologies, and tools
- Deep knowledge in C++ or another High Level Programming Language
- Prior functional management experience (i.e. general supervision, performance management, staffing)
- Embedded software design and implementation
- Experience with electronic warfare
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Atlassian Suite
- Experience with FACE or OMS Architectures
- Experience with MBSE
- Cost Account Management/Earned Value Management in a DoD environment
