The Global Governance Tech team delivers advanced Ethics and Compliance solutions supporting supply chain initiatives through agile, cloud-native development. The team prioritizes innovation, quality, and scalable software aligned with business goals. Members collaborate to design, develop, and maintain solutions across in-store, mobile, and web platforms. Emphasizing strong technical expertise, ownership, and problem-solving, the team operates in a dynamic environment focused on continuous learning and collaboration. This approach drives impactful results that enhance customer and business outcomes while ensuring maintainable, high-quality software solutions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and documentation-based coding practices.
  • Experience delivering scoped features through collaborative engineering teams with a product-driven mindset.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including JavaScript, Python, Java, Rust, Dart, and C++.
  • Strong skills in code review, debugging, and continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
  • Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable software systems aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML integration and generative AI tools to enhance software intelligence.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and technical ownership.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • OR 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year's experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices and joining us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
