Software Engineer

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client. This role involves leading and mentoring a team of integration engineers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and setting best-practice standards. The engineer will develop, integrate, and debug software across various platforms including aircraft flight software, simulated mission systems, and laboratory setups. A key responsibility is owning and optimizing CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable builds and foster a continuous-delivery culture. The role also includes architecting and enhancing virtual development labs and aircraft-software processes for scalability and usability, and designing/implementing automation tools. The engineer will coordinate cross-functional efforts, acting as a technical liaison with various specialists and stakeholder groups, and will set architectural direction for mission-critical software integration. Responsibilities also include hardware troubleshooting, software debugging across multiple environments, and ensuring software solutions meet critical performance and safety requirements. Optimization of integration standards for aerospace or defense software and support for multi-program environments are also key aspects of this position.
