Key Highlights
- Develop, integrate and document structural requirements to establish the system design
- Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the products environment
- Guide product design and verifies structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance
- Develop test plans and configuration, support test execution and analyze/report test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
- Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences).
- 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- Experience performing stress analysis on composite structures, laminates, bonded assemblies or related structures.
- 3+ years experience with finite element modeling structural analysis methods and tools (Hypermesh, MSC Nastran/PATRAN, ABAQUS, Stress Check, etc.).
- Prior experience with manufacturing/production systems.
- This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.
- This position requires the ability to obtain Special Program Access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.
- 8+ years’ work experience with composites design and analysis methodologies.
- Experience in military aircraft sustainment, repairs, and modification programs.
- Experience in a role that required strong technical, analytical, and writing skills.
- Experience with various software applications for performing Boeing stress analysis (e.g. IAS, CSW, etc.).
