Key Highlights
- Perform structural analysis engineering duties in designing, constructing, and testing aircraft and spacecraft products and components.
- Conduct basic and applied research to evaluate adaptability of materials and equipment to aircraft design and manufacture.
- Recommend improvements in testing equipment and techniques.
- Evaluate and continuously improve engineering processes.
- Ensure engineering processes conform to engineering principles, customer requirements, regulations, and quality standards.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Conducting stress analysis by measuring fatigue, corrosion, static, material strength, and repair techniques;
- Complying with Federal Aviation Administration Airworthiness Directives and Code of Federal Regulations;
- Conducting finite element modeling analysis using NASTRAN or PATRAN;
- Analyzing original production designs such as stress loads and strength check notes; and
- Conducting and developing damage tolerance analysis threshold requirements for structural repairs.
