Job Description
Join a high-impact engineering team at Amazon (Ex-Amazon professionals only) as a Software Development Engineer IV, focusing on building and automating internal tools for scalable AWS-based systems. This is a senior-level, 100% onsite position in Dallas, TX, designed for hands-on engineers who thrive in high-accountability, production-driven environments. You’ll own end-to-end deployments, architect solutions using AWS CloudFormation (CDK preferred), and contribute to net-new software projects—no legacy support, only innovation.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 4–5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in backend or cloud-focused roles
- Advanced proficiency in Python or Java for backend development
- Demonstrable, real-world experience with AWS services and infrastructure deployment
- Strong portfolio of building and managing CloudFormation stacks (CDK preferred)
- Proficient with SQL for data handling and integration
- Experience delivering results in high-ownership environments with structured, onsite teams
- Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
- Prior experience at Amazon (Ex-Amazon required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to data engineering or AI tool implementation
- Deep familiarity with Amazon internal tools and environments
- Experience in fast-paced, platform-focused engineering teams
