Job Description

The Senior Software Engineer is a hands-on leader responsible for driving the full-stack design, development, and delivery of software solutions across one or more small, high-velocity engineering teams. This role operates above the Software Engineer level and blends deep engineering excellence with a modern AI-first mindset — including the ability to rapidly prototype with tools like Claude, Amazon Bedrock, and other GenAI platforms to accelerate team output and innovation.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • True full-stack fluency across web (React/TypeScript), mobile/cross-platform (Flutter/Dart), and backend (Python or Node.js).
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on AWS serverless experience with Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, EventBridge.
  • Demonstrated experience with using CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and serverless deployment patterns.
  • Proven track record of rapid prototyping with AI/GenAI tools in a professional setting.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring small engineering teams.
  • Understanding of prompt engineering, context management, and AI tool limitations.
  • Availability for rotational on-call duties outside of standard business hours may be required.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years’ experience in a related field, or a master’s degree and 2 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 16 years’ experience in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Amazon Bedrock, Claude API, or other LLM integrations.
  • Familiarity with AWS CDK or SAM for infrastructure provisioning.
  • Exposure to agentic AI workflows and multi-agent systems.
  • AWS certification (Solutions Architect, Developer, or equivalent).
