Job Description

Halliburton has a position available for suitably qualified person to work as Surface Data Logging (SDL) flexi role. Flexi role refers to individual capable of incorporating duties as both Logging Geo

Key Highlights

  • Collecting Samples of rock formation
  • Geological analysis of rock samples, written and digital lithology descriptions, creation of digital lithology plots/logs
  • Review, comparison and correlation of lithology with LWD data where available
  • Sample collection packaging, administration and backloading
  • Assist in operation and troubleshooting of offshore SDL equipment

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of at least 4-5 years offshore experience. Looking for at least 1-2 years experience as data engineer and also 1-2 years as a logging geologist. Years spent in other relevant offshore positions focused towards drilling operations will be considered
  • Additional experience with advanced gas services, XRF or XRD is advantageous
  • Requires a Bachelor or Masters Degree in Petroleum Geology or Petroleum Engineering, Geology, Computing Sciences or Programming
  • General knowledge of computers, network principles and software (Windows XP, Office software and basic trouble shooting)
  • Experience with general mud logging duties, equipment and relevant sensors is highly advantageous
