Job Description
Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer to support the Air Force SEEK EAGLE Evaluation of Compatibility and Technical Advisory process by participating as part of a disciplined software development team to generate software tools, user interfaces, utilities, and applications located at Eglin Air Force Base, FL.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Active Secret security clearance, or ability to obtain one.
- 3 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical discipline; Or 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical discipline.
- Experience with Web development using C#, Javascript (Vue, React, Angular), ASP.NET, HTML 5, CSS, JQuery, Ajax, etc.
- Familiar with Web development using MVC, Entity Framework, SQL Server.
- Familiar with Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server (TFS) or Azure DevOps.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Very good attention to detail and a candidate who takes ownership and pride in all work.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or applicable technical discipline; OR 5 years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or applicable technical discipline; OR 3 years of relevant experience with a Doctorate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or applicable technical discipline.
- Azure DevOps experience.
- Knowledge of a modern front end framework such as Vue, React, or Angular.
- Knowledge of wireframing tools such as Figma or Balsamiq.
