Help us transform our workforce of the future, today. We are seeking a Software Engineer to join Zions Bancorporation. The Software Engineer will play a key role on the team and will collaborate with talented engineers to design, build, automate, and support cutting-edge solutions that shape the future of our organization. Visa Sponsorship: This position is currently not eligible for employment visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B visa). This includes, for example, situations where a candidate may have temporary work authorization while enrolled in school or upon graduation (e.g., CPT, OPT) but would need H-1B visa sponsorship within a few years of employment in order to maintain employment eligibility.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of software development processes, procedures, and modern programming languages (Java, C#, Python, Angular/React).
- Experience with application development using various technologies, languages, databases, integrations, frameworks, and systems.
- Proven ability to utilize AI and automation to improve engineering processes and build solutions.
- Experience with cloud platforms and app development in cloud service providers such as GCP (preferred) or AWS/Azure.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular, in addition to backend languages.
- Experience designing and consuming REST or GraphQL APIs.
- Knowledge and experience in RDBS and no-sql databases (Oracle, Postgres, MongoDB, Cloud SQL)
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and testing skills.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and map them to appropriate solutions.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing technology and priorities.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent projects, and prioritize effectively.
- Requires a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent and 4+ years of experience in software development, database technologies, version control systems, DevOps tools, cloud computing platforms, and microservices architecture, or other directly related experience.
- A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Financial or Banking services experience is a plus.
