Job Description
Join a high-performing Mainframe Support team responsible for the stability and enhancement of business-critical store applications. The role provides exposure to multiple business domains including Finance, Inventory, Pricing, and Receiving while supporting more than 1,200 enterprise mainframe jobs. Team members are encouraged to identify improvement opportunities, contribute to application enhancements, and leverage emerging technologies such as AI and automation to improve operational efficiency. This position offers a unique combination of operational ownership, technical depth, innovation, and collaboration within a globally distributed 24-hour support organization. This isn't a traditional support role. You'll be trusted to solve complex business problems, influence application improvements, contribute to modernization initiatives, and support systems that directly impact store operations worldwide. The role offers a unique blend of production support, engineering collaboration, application analysis, and innovation, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both operational excellence and driving change.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of enterprise mainframe environments with experience in COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, Control M, Scheduler, and batch processing.
- Strong understanding of next generation data platforms to include GCP, SQL Server.
- Proven ability to analyze complex application flows, troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate with development teams to support modernization initiatives.
- Experience with automation, process improvement, and emerging technologies, including AI-assisted operational solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
- OR 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year's experience in software engineering or related area.
- Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
