Key Highlights
- Advise the business on Victorian energy retail regulatory requirements, providing practical legal guidance on day-to-day compliance and operational matters.
- Assess, manage, and coordinate regulatory breach reporting obligations under the Victorian energy framework, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with the Essential Services Commission (ESC) on regulatory compliance, reporting obligations, and related matters.
- Provide general commercial legal support across the retail energy business, advising on contractual, governance, risk, and broader regulatory issues.
- 5+ years’ PQE with experience advising on energy retail regulation, regulatory compliance, or commercial legal matters within the energy sector.

- 5+ years’ PQE with experience advising on energy retail regulation, regulatory compliance, or commercial legal matters within the energy sector.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Victorian energy retail regulatory framework, including breach reporting obligations and engagement with the Essential Services Commission (ESC).
- Strong commercial drafting and advisory skills, with the ability to provide pragmatic, business-focused legal advice across a broad range of matters.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities in a dynamic in-house environment.
