Job Description

The Senior Software Engineer will lead the delivery of scoped features and software components through collaborative teams, ensuring alignment with platform and business objectives. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable, secure software solutions while integrating AI and machine learning capabilities. The engineer will drive continuous improvement, conduct code reviews, and support operational excellence through monitoring and debugging. Strong technical judgment, effective communication, and a product-driven mindset are essential to translate complex requirements into reliable, high-quality software that meets stakeholder needs and advances Walmart’s technology goals.

Our team delivers high-quality insights from associate surveys using advanced machine learning tools. We collaborate with product management, project teams, and business partners to design and develop scalable technical solutions. Focused on continuous development and iterative delivery, the team applies strong expertise in API design, platform development, and debugging. We emphasize problem-solving and innovation to support business goals, ensuring timely project execution with robust documentation and testing. This collaborative environment fosters excellence in software engineering practices and drives impactful, reliable solutions aligned with organizational objectives.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in React Native, ReactJS, State Management, and GraphQL.
  • Ability to build scalable, high-performance mobile experiences across iOS and Android platforms.
  • Strong skills in solution design, API development, and software design patterns.
  • In-depth understanding of NoSQL database implementations, such as Cosmos DB, MongoDB, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; ability to effectively partner with cross-functional teams to deliver.
  • Proven ability to share knowledge through formal mentoring, code reviews, design document reviews, technical talks, or brown bag sessions.
  • Expertise in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with a focus on scalable, maintainable software systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year's experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
