Key Highlights
- Supports the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design.
- Supports the development, maintenance, or modification of system, component, and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups.
- Performs and documents analyses to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Contributes to supplier development, test, and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals.
- Supports system components designs/proposals standards to provide installation and detail documentation.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
- 3+ years of experience with mechanical systems.
- 3+ years of experience with hydraulic and/or mechanical control systems.
- 3+ years of experience with basic aerodynamics/fluid mechanics principles.
- 1+ years of experience working conceptual, preliminary and detailed design including 2D drawings and 3D deliverables.
- Level 4: 5+ years of work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Active U.S. Secret Clearance or higher
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering schematics, and specifications
- Experience performing hydraulic / fluid system analysis, preferably using MATLAB and/or Easy5 software
- 3+ years of experience designing tooling using CAD/CAM software, preferably CATIA
- Experience producing technical reports and presentations
- Strong written, verbal communications and presentation skills
- Familiarity with engineering processes and methods
- Experience working with cross functional teams
- Experience with Model Based Development tools
