Job Description
Senior Backend Engineer (Architecture & AI Systems) | Vienna / Remote (Europe only!) | Full-time | Salary + equity<p>Early-stage startup building an AI platform that helps architecture and engineering teams reuse knowledge from past projects (documents, drawings, revisions) to reduce costly rework in planning and pre-construction.<p>You’ll work on multi-tenant backend systems powering hybrid search, document ingestion pipelines, and large-scale indexing across complex engineering datasets.<p>Stack / areas: PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, vector search, distributed systems, async pipelines.<p>Looking for: 8+ years backend engineering experience, strong systems design skills, experience with distributed systems and production B2B SaaS.<p>Small team (currently <10 engineers), high ownership, real production users.<p>Backed by Pi Labs and DAR.<p>Full JD: <a href="https://howie.systems/careers" rel="nofollow">https://howie.systems/careers</a> Contact: office@howie.systems
