Job Description
MintMCP is seeking a Software Engineer to own features end-to-end, from conception to production, across their gateway infrastructure, enterprise deployments, and agentic systems. The role leans backend and infra, but responsibilities can extend to UI development and troubleshooting connector issues during security reviews. The company emphasizes an AI-native approach, utilizing tools like Claude and Codex, and a fleet of agents to accelerate development. Engineers will shape problems, make architectural and product decisions, harden enterprise paths, design connectors, protect security-sensitive surfaces, and ensure the quality of generated code. The company operates with blurred roles and rapid shipping cycles, offering direct learning opportunities from founders and customers. They hire across levels, valuing judgment, range, and shipping speed.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Track record of shipping to real users (product, internal tool, open-source project, or serious side project).
- Ability to ship and iterate without waiting for specs or approvals.
- Strong fundamentals and ability to learn fast.
- Care about product value and customer needs over technical purity.
- Take infra seriously, considering blast radius, trust boundaries, and impact on customer agents.
- Ability to read unfamiliar code, reason from first principles, and explain tradeoffs.
- Comfortable across the stack (TypeScript, Python, CockroachDB) or ability to pick up new languages, protocols, and domains quickly.
- Excited to build with agents and learn their capabilities and limitations.
- Experience building with AI daily and desire for a low-process environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Developer-facing products, protocol or gateway work, or infrastructure at scale.
- Background in security, identity, or permission systems.
- Contributions to open source, MCP servers, or agentic frameworks.
- Design sensibility (engineers who care about design, designers who think about infrastructure).
