Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with expertise in Java (17/21) and Spring Boot to join our team. The role involves developing and maintaining a Streamlit planner dashboard, consuming secured REST APIs, and ensuring cloud-native delivery with high-quality engineering practices. You will work collaboratively with AI coding agents and other team members, demonstrating a strong ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies. This position requires a BS in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience
- Java (17/21)
- Spring Boot 3.x/4.x
- Maven
- Python + Streamlit -- able to code and ship changes to the Streamlit planner dashboard
- Consuming secured (OAuth2) REST APIs with data filtering & validation (clean, validate, normalize before downstream use)
- Cloud-native delivery + high-quality engineering
- Docker + Kubernetes
- CI/CD (GitHub Actions, SonarQube gates)
- OAuth2/Spring Security
- TDD (JUnit 5 + Mockito)
- Consistently high coding standards
- Comfortable pair-working with AI coding agents (Claude / Copilot) for fast changes
- A collaborative team player who is open to ideas/feedback
- A fast learner
- BS in Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to mathematical optimization / solvers (FICO Xpress, Gurobi, CPLEX, OR-Tools), enough to collaborate with Operations Research professionals
- Azure (Blob/ADLS, azure-identity) incl. analyzing ADLS data to debug, find issues, and derive insights
- OpenTelemetry/Micrometer
- PIT mutation testing
- Backstage / Runway / ArgoCD
- WebFlux/reactive
- CSV/Excel (OpenCSV, POI) parsing at scale
- MkDocs/TechDocs
- Aviation / Maintenance / MRO domain
