Job Description
GC2IT is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, enhance, and support mission-critical Point-of-Entry systems deployed worldwide. The position combines software engineering, system design, cloud development, troubleshooting, and collaboration with program leadership and multidisciplinary technical teams.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Relevant experience in software engineering and/or software development.
- Demonstrated experience with Java, Python, Node.js, JavaScript, and HTML.
- Experience designing and developing client/server architectures.
- Experience designing and developing cloud-based systems; AWS experience is preferred.
- Understanding of data transport concepts.
- Experience analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems involving program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing applications using a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.
- Experience integrating with third-party APIs.
- Experience integrating with peripheral devices.
- Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
- Experience conducting multidisciplinary research and collaborating with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems.
