Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Java Data Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies, specifically Dataflow, Bigtable, and Spanner. The ideal candidate will be responsible

Key Highlights

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and backend services using Java
  • Build and optimize distributed data processing workflows using Google Cloud Dataflow
  • Work extensively with Bigtable and Spanner for large-scale data storage and processing
  • Develop ETL/ELT workflows for ingesting and transforming data from multiple sources
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and engineering teams to understand data requirements

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Java backend/data platform development
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices
  • Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically:
  • Dataflow
  • Bigtable
  • Spanner
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems and large-scale data processing
  • Experience building batch and streaming data pipelines
  • Excellent SQL and database knowledge
  • Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, XML, and backend integrations
  • Familiarity with Apache Beam is preferred
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and deployment workflows
  • Understanding of ETL concepts, Data Warehousing, and Data Lakes
  • Good understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
