Job Description

COLSA is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to support the Integrated Voice Communications System (IVCS) contract in San Diego, CA. This position supports U.S. Navy shipboard telecommunications systems and associated equipment, including MarCom (AN/STC-2(V)1), SHINCOM (AN/STC-3(V)), IVN, Avaya, DRS, and related technologies. In this role, you will develop, maintain, integrate, test, troubleshoot, and debug software within established and legacy environments. You will also modify and maintain ship configuration databases and work with U.S. Navy personnel, contractors, and engineering teams to evaluate technical issues and provide solutions. This position requires some work aboard U.S. Navy vessels.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Experience supporting U.S. Navy shipboard telecommunications systems and associated equipment, including MarCom (AN/STC-2(V)1), SHINCOM (AN/STC-3(V)), IVN, Avaya, DRS, and related technologies.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, integrating, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging software within established and legacy environments.
  • Experience modifying and maintaining ship configuration databases.
  • Experience working with U.S. Navy personnel, contractors, and engineering teams to evaluate technical issues and provide solutions.
  • Experience supporting software within UNIX and Windows operating system environments.
  • Experience supporting integration and testing of software with associated shipboard communications systems and equipment.
  • Ability to collaborate with U.S. Navy personnel, contractors, hardware engineers, software engineers, and systems engineers to evaluate and resolve technical issues.
  • Ability to perform software and system support aboard U.S. Navy vessels as required.
