About the team and the role: eBay, Inc. seeks Software Engineer 3 in San Jose, CA
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field, plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- Experience designing and developing highly scalable, distributed backend platforms and internet-scale web services using Java/J2EE (2 years)
- Experience building service-oriented architectures using SOAP and RESTful services, including JSON and XML payloads (2 years)
- Experience applying Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/D) principles and common design patterns in large-scale systems (2 years)
- Experience developing high-performance web services with an understanding of data structures, algorithms, and core computer science fundamentals (2 years)
- Experience working with Relational Databases and NoSQL data stores in production systems (2 years)
- Experience with concurrent and multithreaded programming, including synchronization and thread safety in server-side applications (1 year)
- Experience designing and developing fault-tolerant, highly available, cross–data center distributed systems (1 year)
