Job Description
As a Software Engineer within Cisco’s Collaboration Devices group, you will design and implement the cutting-edge software features that power the future of hybrid work - specifically Cisco Phone and Room devices. You will actively collaborate with senior technical leaders and cross-functional engineering teams to build robust, scalable solutions that enhance global communication. This role is exciting because it places you at the intersection of high-impact hardware and intuitive software, offering the opportunity to influence products used by millions of users daily.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related software development experience or a Master’s degree with 3 years of related software development experience.
- Experience working with performance-critical, device-level applications using C and C++ programming languages.
- Experience in software development for embedded systems or network devices.
- Experience using Python or Java for scripting and automation tasks, application development and integration within device software.
- Experience with production ready CI/CD pipelines with experience managing and writing automation tests.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with version control systems such as Git and command-line tools to support development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new programming languages and technologies as required.
