Key Highlights
- Oversee professional employees engaged in engineering and technical activities within Software specifically focusing on Cabin, Electrical Subsystems, Interiors, Network Systems, or Propulsion systems
- Develop and execute comprehensive software project and implementation plans tailored to Cabin, Electrical Subsystems, Interiors, Network Systems, and Propulsion domain applications, ensuring adherence to compliance
- Provide technical management and guidance to partners and stakeholders in the Cabin, Electrical Subsystems, Interiors, Network Systems, and Propulsion organizations
- Lead and oversee technical strategies, ensuring effective development and support for Cabin, Electrical Subsystems, Interiors, Network Systems, and Propulsion software while maintaining high-quality benchmarks
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers (both internal and external), stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports within Cabin, Electrical Subsystems, Interiors, Network Systems, and Propulsion
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- This position requires, to meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
- 5+ years of experience working in aerospace, defense, or similar high-tech industry
- 2+ years of experience in developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior executives, customers, stakeholders, peers, and business partners
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership role leading global teams, initiatives, or projects to meet business objectives and influence change
- Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 3+ years of experience in cross-functional leadership, collaborative problem solving, building lasting relationships & proficiency in written and verbal communication
- 3+ years of experience with DO-178C and supplements (DO-331, DO-332) and DO-330
- 3+ years of experience in leading or managing software engineering activities
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience in software development using Java, JavaScript, and Node.JS
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- 2+ years of experience as technical manager of a product deployment team
- Familiarity with the use of AI in software development practices
- Familiar with Boeing processes and procedures
