MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Software Engineer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission. The Software Engineer will design, develop, code, test, and debug complex software products, or make significant enhancements to existing software. The ideal candidate is a hands-on platform builder with significant experience in developing scalable software applications, with experience in analytics using large data sets. They must have strong, firsthand technical expertise in a variety of configuration management and big data technologies and the proven ability to fashion robust solutions that can manage large data sets. They must be at ease working in an agile environment with little supervision. This person should embody a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related technical discipline or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, and work/military experience.
- 2+ years of related experience
- TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
- US citizenship required
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with modern programming languages including Java, JavaScript, and Python.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience developing with cloud-based services such as AWS.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with developing and implementing microservices architecture using Spring Boot.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Linux.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in analytics using large data sets.
- Strong, firsthand technical expertise in a variety of configuration management and big data technologies.
- Proven ability to fashion robust solutions that can manage large data sets.
- At ease working in an agile environment with little supervision.
- Passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
