We are building transformational experiences in Copilot notebook and looking to hire a full-stack Software Engineer II in the OneNote Cloud Experiences team. The problems we solve include running services that power OneNote at scale, building a multitude of grounding capabilities, creation of richer artifacts, and building agent support on top of Copilot notebooks. We plan to build these experiences at scale across all web and mobile platforms and will continue to use the best-in-class infrastructure that boosts developer productivity and engineering velocity. Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
- These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ years experience with modern AI technologies, including Generative AI, large language models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) based solutions, and cloud-scale data platforms.
- 1+ years leveraging AI Coding Agents to develop product features.
- Background in working with large-scale, distributed systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, AWS or similar cloud computing platforms is a plus.
- Demonstrated ownership of complex engineering projects and effective cross-team collaboration.
