Key Highlights
- Lead a team of 15-20 multi-skilled engineers working systems engineering and hardware efforts related to training systems programs
- Report to the senior Systems Engineering manager to ensure seamless cross-program functional support is provided for all aspects of the Systems Engineering, Integration, & Test (SEIT) function
- Interface with program managers and other engineering functions to ensure program objectives are met, to include taking responsibility for various control accounts and Earned Value Management (EVM) duties
- Remove road blocks for the team, provide higher level and external support, coordinate with customers and suppliers in pursuit of program contractual requirements and objectives, etc.
- Support team members by prioritizing career development, employee engagement, and performance management
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, integration & test engineering, hardware engineering, or a related function
- 2+ years Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
- Current DOD Top Secret clearance (active within the past 24 months)
- 3+ years leading engineering teams in a lead or manager role [moved to Preferred due to conflict with 1 yr manager experience in questionnaire]
- Exposure to multiple phases of the Systems Engineering lifecycle, such as design, development, lab test, flight test, production, sustainment, etc.
- Advanced degrees (MS or MBA)
- Experience in a role requiring strategic planning (project/program management)
- Engineering management experience.
