Job Description

QTEC Aerospace is consistently seeking a Software Engineer to join our team of professionals in Huntsville, AL. The qualified applicant will become part of a team of professionals representing both industry and government. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, have a proven track record and a positive work ethic. QTEC Aerospace is looking for highly capable and motivated individuals. The successful candidate will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program, engineering, and technical support to Army Air Defense programs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in software engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or related field from an accredited college and at least 1 year related experience
  • Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment daily
  • Software engineering and software development with Java and/or C++ experience
  • Possess knowledge of basic software practices, including coding standards and configuration management
  • Familiarity with Java foundation classes and toolkits
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed
  • Self-starter with ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working as part of an Agile team; understanding of Agile methodology
  • Experience with Java Swing
  • Experience with Runtime Modularity and Service Registries (OSGI, Apache felix)
  • Experience with Runtime injection Frameworks (Google Guice, Spring)
  • Kill chain experience
  • Analysis Investigations using scripts
  • Background in missile defense
