Position Summary Join our dynamic team as a Software Engineer and Technical/Team Lead for the Curo Medical Management Platform at Optum Technology. In this critical role based in Schaumburg, IL, you will own tech-ready delivery for platform implementations, ensuring close alignment with vital business commitments. You will drive operational excellence by maintaining 100%25 release success and 100%25 sprint predictability across engineering teams. Leading technical strategy, you will architect, solution, and design ahead of sprint planning in adherence with Technical Design Review decisions. Additionally, you will play a hands-on role in optimizing infrastructure utilization for existing volumes by fine-tuning user interfaces, middle-tier services, and database performance to minimize resource consumption while delivering an exceptional user experience.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS or IT related field
- 1+ years of software engineering experience developing enterprise-grade applications
- 1+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot (including Spring Data) within a microservices architecture
- 1+ years of experience with React or Next.js (including Server-Side Rendering (SSR) and App Router) and component-driven UI library development
- 1+ years of experience with relational database development
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Python (FastAPI, Pydantic, async frameworks) and TypeScript/JavaScript
- Experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) and utilizing advanced prompt engineering techniques to enhance applications
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or other enterprise AI coding assistants) to accelerate and optimize code delivery
- Experience with modern UI styling tools (Tailwind CSS, Radix UI) and building reusable, accessible component libraries
- Proven ability to mentor developers, lead technical design reviews, and establish architectural standards across teams
