Job Description
The Software Engineer II contributes to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications supporting the Batch Portal platform. This role operates within an Agile development environment and applies established engineering practices to deliver reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions aligned with business and product requirements.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience developing production‑quality software using one or more general‑purpose programming languages (e.g., Java or similar).
- Working knowledge of object‑oriented design principles, data structures, and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks, source control systems (e.g., Git), and continuous integration practices.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively within a development team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with batch processing frameworks, job scheduling systems, or workflow orchestration platforms.
- Familiarity with Pentaho plugin architectures.
- Experience working with enterprise‑scale or cloud‑based systems.
- Exposure to data processing, data pipelines, or high‑volume transactional systems.
