Job Description
The Software Engineer III will coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. This role involves supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifying and communicating goals and objectives, building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results, identifying and addressing improvement opportunities, and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. The engineer will be responsible for requirement and scoping analysis, coding, testing, defect management and troubleshooting, DevOps orientation, and program monitoring.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus 2 years of experience in software engineering or related experience.
- Designing and implementing REST API automation using Java with Cucumber and Serenity BDD.
- Developing test automation frameworks with Selenium WebDriver for UI and backend testing.
- Building and testing microservices using Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Cloud, and Spring Security.
- Performing REST API testing and mocking using Postman and Swagger.
- Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Web automation using Selenium WebDriver with Java, C#, and Maven.
- Mobile testing and element identification using Appium Inspector.
- Validating message flows in distributed systems using Apache Kafka.
- Tracking tasks, bugs, and test plans using JIRA and documenting in Confluence.
- Applying Agile/Scrum methodology for test planning, execution, and team collaboration.
- Scripting and backend support on UNIX/Linux systems.
- Unit and integration testing using JUnit, Mockito, and HTML.
Preferred Qualifications
- Take the initiative to learn the fundamentals of different coding languages and frameworks that would be useful for future scope of work.
