Job Description
The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is seeking a Software Engineer to join their ASL team in Huntsville, AL. This role supports sponsored programs by developing and expanding CI/CD pipelines using DevSecOps practices. The team is responsible for application administration and system administration for new requirements, working directly with sponsors or GTRI project directors to understand application security and development needs. The role involves expanding existing capabilities and supporting the transition to containerized applications.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience with Git and a scripting language such as Python or Bash.
- Strong experience developing CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure Pipelines.
- Moderate experience with containerization using tools such as Docker/Podman.
- Some experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Some experience deploying bare metal or VMWare vSphere ESXi systems that includes hardening the system.
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Experience with a container orchestration platform such as Kubernetes.
- Experience utilizing Agile software development practices.
- Completed one of the DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certifications for IAT Level II status.
