Software Engineer, Infrastructure (staff level)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or other similar degree.
• Technical qualifications: 10+ years of experience building software of significant scale and complexity You have achieved functional mastery of software development, systems design/architecture, and coding You are an expert at scaling systems, and know when to build vs. buy to address scalability-related challenges You’ve worked on complex challenges related to observability, logging, async event-driven workflows, and distributed systems architecture Deep understanding of postgres databases and how to scale them: sharding/partitioning, query optimization, schema migration safety & reliability, etc. You have excellent technical vision; you know the right architecture and patterns to build something of enduring value and scale
• 10+ years of experience building software of significant scale and complexity
• You have achieved functional mastery of software development, systems design/architecture, and coding
• You are an expert at scaling systems, and know when to build vs. buy to address scalability-related challenges
• You’ve worked on complex challenges related to observability, logging, async event-driven workflows, and distributed systems architecture
