Job Description

Are you passionate about modelling, mechanics and materials science? If so, this position might be perfect for you. We are seeking a modeller to predict the evolution of internal structures in metals

Key Highlights

  • Apply existing crystal plasticity simulation software to predict the evolution of the internal structure in metals in the regimes of necking and ductile failure.
  • Incorporate stochastic elements in the simulations to introduce structure formation at scales below those normally addressed by crystal plasticity
  • Background in materials science, physics or mechanics
  • Experience with finite-element modelling and/or crystal plasticity simulations
  • Strong programming skills

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
